Thirty Two & You Family Dental, Denison’s new full-service family dental practice, has recently added four new employees to the clinic’s growing staff. The new additions bring a wealth of dental hygiene knowledge and expertise to the team.
The new clinic is owned by Dr. Ryan Bygness, DDS, who has 20 years of experience as a dentist and more than five years of experience in orthodontic treatment. Bygness is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and also attended the University of Iowa as an undergraduate majoring in biology.
“We’ve rounded out our staff with an experienced dental hygienist and experienced dental assistants,” Bygness said. The new employees have decades of experience, he said.
Registered dental hygienist Jill Hauswirth brings seven years of experience to the Thirty Two & You team. Hauswirth received her degree in dental hygiene from Iowa Central Community College.
Sara Matthes and Sarah Oliver, who are both dental assistants, bring more than 30 years of collective experience to the new clinic. Matthes received her dental assistant certification from Marshalltown Community College and has been a dental assistant for nearly 20 years. Oliver, who has more than 10 years of dental assistant experience, graduated from the Iowa Western Community College Dental Assistant program.
Also new to the Thirty Two & You Family Dental office is receptionist Kristi Curry. Curry and her family moved to Denison from Chicago, Illinois. She is currently working toward a degree in human resources from Western Iowa Tech Community College.
“We were able to hit the ground running when we opened on May 1,” Bygness said. “Our new employees were ready to get to work and we were all ready to greet our patients, one smile at a time.”
Dr. Bygness is a member of nearly a dozen dental and orthodontic organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Orthodontic Society.
Thirty Two & You Family Dental provides a full range of professional family dental care for patients of all ages. Bygness said he is excited to have Thirty Two & You open for business and has also enjoyed expanding services into the orthodontics area. “This was something the local area was lacking and we’ve already seen the impact that providing orthodontics on a daily basis has had for the community,” he said.
